There are three main ways in which you can contribute to community development projects in Nicaragua through FOG.
Make a Donation
The most obvious way of contributing is to make a donation of
money or equipment that will be used in the projects we're
supporting in Nicaragua. Because of the way in which FOG is run,
100% of your contribution will be used directly in the projects
in Nicaragua. For more information on making donations, click
here.
Become a Voting Member of FOG
As a member, you will be able to get involved in how the
organisation is run. Having more members also ensures that
we have a more democratic organisation that can better serve
and be guided by its members. Click here
for more information on FOG membership. We use our membership
fees to pay for administrative fees that we cannot avoid, like
bank fees.
Volunteer in the organisation or in the field
You can volunteer from wherever you are - helping us to run this
organisation. We have members who help us in Costa Rica, Australia, the USA,
Ontario and British Colombia. Some examples of ways in which
you can help are:
Our brochure may be helpful if you are participating in any of these events. It is available in English, French, and Spanish in Word 97/2000 format. (best way with these files is to right-click on the link and choose Save Target As...)
Another form of volunteering is to volunteer in one of the projects in Nicaragua. This type of volunteering requires much more commitment but can be also much more gratifying. To find out more about volunteering in Nicaragua, click here.
