Nine students receive scholarships. Letters from students received. Due to lack of funds and other administrative problems with Reparto Schick, we were unable to continue to support them this year.

Last installment of money sent to Nicaraguan partners for scholarship program. This year's needs have been met, starting to look towards 2002 scholarships as demand grows.
Rob visits El Recreo, Reparto Schick and El Bosque during a visit from the 13-17th. He collects several reports from the partners and signs an agency agreement with our El Bosque counterpart, MEC Posoltega, for the second phase of the library project.
FOG Board meets in person for the first time in a year (all meetings are conducted via telephone conference call) in Managua.
